From finding designers and illustrators online, using a virtual publishing company and converting it to print and Kindle, she has done it all, even opening a US bank account before she even started. If you want to do this yourself, then listen to Helen’s journey and learn everything you can from a new [...]

Kathy’s talk is a brilliant example of someone who has found her story and found a way to communicate that story perfectly so that it fits her brand. As she tells her story, the audience is sucked into it. Together we learn a little about her childhood, growing up on the farm in New Zealand. We lick our lips as she tells us of her father’s love for tiramisu, her mother’s for caramel meringue and we nod knowingly when she shares insights into the value of sitting round a table with great minds, inspired by the man who created The Eden [...]

Have your funny story included in the second edition of Forced to Fly. I would like to include 20 new pieces of writing of up to 1,000 words in length. They can be on any specific incident or any theme that could only have happened to you because you were living abroad. Like how amusing your life became when you lived in Holland and began to travel everywhere by bicycle, or how you entered into the local Oktoberfest with more gusto than was appreciated, or the pickle you found yourself in when driving in India. Entries will close on August 31st 2011. [...]

John has written a children’s book for his grandaughter, Belle about a duck called Flappy and is yet to find a publisher. Knowing the ropes, he decided to go to the London Book Fair and corner a publisher there and ask for some [...]

Nothing can beat the moment you hold your first book in your hand. Yesterday, my client, Simone Costa-Eriksson, shared that moment with me, when she opened her first box of her first book: Moving Abroad: the mission of detective Mike. A children’s book for 4-9 year old mobile kids.
