Most of my clients choose to work with me on a complete mentoring program (detailed more fully further down the page) payable in advance:

CONSULTANCY AND MENTORING
Pay-as-you-go
Book some hours and use them however you like over a period of two years. Totally flexible, you can use a variety of email, Skype, face-to-face and phone sessions. You can even ask me to spend my time editing, reading, reviewing or proofing your work. All you have to do is pay in advance and, if you need more time, top up as you go.

Ask me questions and let me take a look at your project, brainstorm a few ideas and give you feedback. Remember, you can also ask me for connections and editing. In my experience new authors need up to four hours with me to get their ideas and plans straight with an existing project, to sort out the final details, give them a bit of feedback and give the cover a check. If your idea is still at the fledgling stage it will take longer.

Getting the show on the road
If you are a fledgling author and come to me with just a germ of an idea or a few pages, then it is likely to take at least six hours to get your idea straightened out, planned and a road map and style sheet created. Eight hours will guarantee you get your first chapter and table of contents nailed down too.

Pre-paid programs
Now let me tell you about my special pre-paid programs. With a program you are not tied to the number of hours we clock up. Instead, each fee is for a set of tasks. As long as you complete the task within one year you can take as long as you like.

Step one – Pipedream to Planned (plan, craft, write, edit and polish one chapter and table of contents) €997
Step two – First Draft to Final Manuscript (mentor, advise and help you through the production of your entire manuscript including complete read through of text with comments) €997
Step three – Final Manuscript to Published and Promoted (‘top and tail’ your book, including front and end pages, cover text, reviews and foreword; manage your book’s proof, design, print and publish worldwide – print and Kindle; supply 10 copies; production of press release and send to 400+ expatriate publications. Inclusion in ExpatBookshop. Please note, you will have to pay extra for a read through of your manuscript @€10 per 1,000 words if you take Step three alone) €997

Each step is invoiced at start of each process. Prices fixed for one year from date of invoice.
READING, REVIEWING AND EDITING SERVICES
- Articles – €35 per piece up to 1,500 words
- Books – Reading the text and adding comments – from €15 per 1,000 words, minimum fee of €100
- Books – Reading the text, adding comments and doing copy and content editing – from €30 per 1,000 words, minimum fee of €100
WORKSHOPS
Local
4-10 students
Workshop fees – individuals – are calculated at approximately €25 per student per hour for courses run within an hour of The Hague and that have previously been created.
Workshop fees – corporate - start at €500 half day, €1000 full day
Course creation fee for new courses €1000 per day.
Beyond the Hague, but still in the Netherlands
€750 for half day for up to 10 students
€1200 for full day for up to 10 students
An additional fee of €20 per student per hour will be charged for each additional student.
Course creation fee for new courses €1000 per day.
Fees are exclusive of travel and expenses for all bookings beyond The Hague.
Beyond the Netherlands
€1000 for half day for up to 10 students
